Kyra Miniturn Sedgwick was an extremely popular American television and film actor for a long time. She's well known around the globe, but particularly in America because of her leading role in 'The Cloner. Sedgwick was a lover of the arts, Broadway and performing since at the age of 12. She had been introduced to Broadway by her mom who was a Broadway fanatic. When she was of 16 that Sedgwick received her first acting job professionally on the show "Another World". While she started out with small-time roles for television, it was the thought of becoming an actress who intrigued her. Her first major screen appearance was in a film called 'Born on the Fourth of July, in which she was co-starring with Tom Cruise. Sedgwick was offered more films after the success of this one, including: "Singles", 'Heart and Souls" 'Phenomenon", etc. The actor husband of her Kevin Bacon met her in the TV film "Lemon Sky.' They married at the age of 22. Sedgwick was a star in American television thanks to her impressive role in "The Closer" which was a seven-season television series which won her the Golden Globe Award and Emmy.
